LARGE Big Ben Ad/Promotional WORKING Clock Display RARE
Large Big Ben Promotional WORKING Clock Display RARE! It is made of wood, probably by members of the Model Makers Engineering Department. This clock would have been used sometime between 1939 - 1941 (before World War II). The inventory tag on the box matches the number on the back of the clock. Information provided by Westclox Museum. Super rare, large, Big Ben promotional clock, with mechanical rotating panels - completely functional! We have been unable to find any similar examples. It came/comes in its original box, pictured, with several mailing labels, implying that it may have been used at trade-shows. The outside of the box reads, Property of Western Clock Co. And has a small aluminum inventory/number tag.
The movement still runs well, as do the rotating ad panels, but because it has been sitting for so long, a routine servicing may be helpful. Dimensions are 17 wide by 19 tall. The dial has a diameter of 14.
This piece has been sitting, in its original box, for 60-70 years, and is in pristine condition. Please look over photos and let us know of any questions.
