WW1 GERMAN ARMY " BIG BERTHA " ARTILLERY WAGON #3 ONE OF 5 SPECIAL WAGONS MADE TO CARRY THE 42 cm M-GARAT HOWITZER MAKING IT ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST POWERFUL ARTILLERY PIECES EVER FIELDED CALLED " BIG BERTHA ". ARMY SOLDIERS ON A FRENCH BATTLEFIELD WITH HELMETS ON AND ONE WITH A FULL BACKPACK TAKE REFUGE UNDER AND AROUND THE #3 SPECIAL WAGON DURING A BATTLE. ALSO PART OF THE SPECIAL #4 WAGON CAN BE SEEN TO THE RIGHT. The components of an M-Gerät howitzer were transported on five special wagons pulled by motor tractor. 1 Wagon with gantry crane and equipment needed to assemble the howitzer.
